The trail begins near a few cabins that sit above a small pond. The trail has a few technical rocky climbs, descents, and switchbacks, with some very fun and fast sections in the woods. Very well maintained by the local shop High Gear Cyclery, located in Emporia near 6th Street and Commercial Street.
Head east out of Emporia on Hwy 50 (6th street) for about 3 miles. Continue past I-35 overpass and onto Rd 175 for about 2 miles then turn left on P2 Road for about 1 mile to Camp Alexander trailhead.
